From our partners at Cultivate Oregon
Regenerative Agriculture is one of the–maybe THE–most important solutions to global warming as identified by project Drawdown. Organized by local scientist and climate hero Dr. Ray Seidler working with Cultivate Oregon and a variety of community organizations including SOPA, is scheduled as a two-day virtual Zoom symposium, bringing together leading experts and eager learners locally and from around the globe to talk about soil and a plan that pays farmers to capture carbon. View the speaker lineup and schedule.
Enabling Regenerative Agriculture:
Getting Paid For Improving Soil Health
Tuesdays, Nov. 10th and 17th, 5-7pm
REGISTER HERE for both dates

From our partners at MOVE TO AMEND:
What would it look like if we had a genuine People’s Constitution? Join us for a People’s Movement Assembly, where people from all walks of life will come together and envision a nation and a world with genuine and vibrant democracy.
“Toward a People’s Constitution“
Oct 24th and 25th
This conversation might not be for everyone. But if you’re ready to come together with other passionate people and envision together what we would want in a Peoples Constitution — and figure out how to build towards that vision — you are invited.
This two day event will include art shares, panel discussions, small group breakouts, planning and community building. Move to Amend is partnering with other organizations like the Pachamama Alliance, the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund and A Radical Guide to put forth a rich and visionary weekend October 24th and 25th.

The SOCAN-Ashland Climate Action Project will host a free private Zoom screening of “Other Side of the Hill,” a new film that shows how rural communities in Eastern Oregon are reaping economic rewards now by transcending the toxic partisan rhetoric of climate change.
Directed by James Parker and Juliet Grable of Synchronous Pictures and Executive Produced by local and regional climate activists Julian Bell, Deb Evans, Ron Schaaf, and Tom Bowerman, “Other Side of the Hill” explores the impacts of a changing climate in rural Eastern Oregon as seen through the eyes of local leaders on the ground.
The 30-minute film will be followed by Q&A with the filmmakers, visionaries, and “stars,” as well as leaders in Rogue Valley renewable energy initiatives.
RSVP required to attend. Email car***@**can.eco
