We are excited to announce that one of our inspirations is ‘coming to town’ (in the virtual sort of way). Next month, author Robin Wall Kimmerer of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teaching of Plants will give a talk through the Jackson County Library System…

AND we are honored to have been invited to present as a lead up to Kimmerer’s presentation. Please join us next Thursday January 27th at 6pm to hear the latest developments at Vesper Meadow: community-based strategies, beaver-based solutions, and native food plants being restored at the Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve.

Vesper Meadow: Reconnecting People, Place, & Native Plants

A local movement for native habitat restoration has started in Southwest Oregon, led by a new wave of conservation organizations, forward-thinking landowners, and Tribal partnerships. Now, after 200 years of land (mis)management, this partnership work is critical to address the widespread impacts of climate changes on our shared landscape, natural resources, and water supply.
