FUNd Raising for Water Summit Begins Wednesday

We have come to an exciting part of creating the Rogue Valley Water Solutions Summit. That is, the FUNd raising to cover costs that have ensued and to help support what is next in pursuing the solutions that emerge out of this summit.  

We are happy to announce the opening of an Eclectic, Exciting, Adventurous, Artful Online Auction to begin at noon, Wednesday, Oct. 26, and open until noon, Friday, Nov. 11. 

As you may know, we have 12 co-sponsors, among them, Peace House, which generously agreed to process donations to the Rogue Valley Water Solutions Summit to be tax deductible through their organization. We are so grateful. If you prefer to donate now, go directly to the Peace House Water Solutions Donate page now and your donation becomes tax deductible.

But, be sure not to miss the FUNd part of donating. Here’s how:

Click on the green button that says “View All Items” to see the auction items.

Go to the auction page to view all the items. Beginning at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 26, you can start bidding. You will need to create a free account and input your method of payment to make a bid. (Note: you may want to put in your “top bid” and then let them notify you if someone goes over that). Familiarize yourself with the amazing offerings … and pay attention to raising the bids as prescribed because it varies from item to item. If yours is a winning bid, you will be notified and the payment completed online.

Check in periodically during the next two weeks to either raise your bid, or put down how much you are willing to ultimately pay for the offering right up front and see if others out bid you … Help us raise the FUN and FUND level for this amazing Water Solutions Summit while taking away something extra that you are delighted with. This is a great way to help Southern Oregon Pachamama Alliance create what wants to happen next in support of Rogue Valley water solutions.

Auction items may be picked up Saturday, Nov. 12, at the final Water Solutions Summit Session #6 — an in-person session to be held at the SOU/RCC Higher Education Center, 101 S Bartlett in Medford (corner of Bartlett and Eighth St.). You may park in a nearby city lot for a fee – get more Medford City parking information here

That day the doors will open at 9 am for coffee and tea. Auction items should be picked up from 9 to 10 am or after 3 pm. (The Water Solutions Summit session will begin at 10 am and auction items will not be accessible again until 3 pm.)

To make other arrangements to pick up winning items, you may email bell****@**otonmail.com. Lessons and experiences will need to be scheduled directly with the donor, and winning bidders will receive information on how to do that.

The auction is open to the public, so tell your friends. Also, there are two more Water Solutions Summit sessions on Zoom prior to the in-person session on Nov. 12:

  • Session 4 – Wed., Oct. 26 – 6-8 pm, “Veins of the Valley: Wetlands & Waterways”
  • Session 5 – Wed., Nov. 9 – 6-8 pm, “The Catch Basin: A Flood of Issues & Possibilities”
  • Session 6 – Sat., Nov. 12 – 9 am – 3 pm, “Where do we go from here?” (In person)
