Water League – SOPA’s partner organization in developing the Water Action Community in the Rogue Valley – is hosting a community conversation on behalf of the Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD).

OWRD is updating its Integrated Water Resources Strategy. The strategy helps us understand what water we have available in Oregon and what we need for people, plants, animals, and the land. It also includes actions we can take to meet those needs.

Now it’s time for the plan to be updated and your input is needed. This is your chance to shape public policy. Public opinion will be included in the revision of the Integrated Water Resources Strategy.

Food and drinks will be offered — bring your appetite and ideas!

Here are three questions to be explored (if you have other ideas, questions or concerns, those will be discussed as well):

  • What are your major water issues/concerns?
  • What are some ideas for solving these issues/ concerns?
  • How do you think decision makers in Oregon can better work with your community on water issues?

Let’s act on our gratitude for Water by showing up to speak for it! Feeling shy? Just your presence adds impact to our main message:

We honor, respect, and are grateful to Water!
