WHAT: Learn more about the proposed policy and share public testimony in support of Ashland Youth for Electrification using this testimony guide.
Wear blue to show your support for the campaign!
The Ashland Youth for Electrification campaign is advocating that the city adopt the Climate and Clean Air Ordinance, which focuses on improving indoor air quality by putting a limit on pollution emitted from gas appliances in new homes.
The Climate and Clean Air Ordinance would:
- Improve public health by limiting pollution from gas appliances permitted in new homes.
- Transition homes away from fossil fuels to meet Ashland’s climate goals.
- Encourage housing developers to build with electric appliances which would increase energy efficiency and affordability for heating and cooling homes.
Our communities deserve clean air and a fossil free future. Take action by standing with youth to pass the Climate and Clean Air Ordinance!
If you haven’t already, will you give testimony in support for Ashland Youth for Electrification’s proposed Climate and Clean Air Ordinance? Here is the form to do so.
